    This class is intended for adults who wish to be confirmed in the Lutheran church as well as adults who are already confirmed and who would like to join in further study of the teachings of the Christian faith.

    Students will gather at church after school to learn about, discuss, and apply to their own lives the Holy Scriptures and the Teachings of the Christian Faith.

Rev. James B Athey (Pastor Jim) was ordained and installed at Bethany Lutheran Church on January 9, 2011.  A recent graduate of Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, he is excited to see what God has planned for the work of this church.

"My prayer is that you will feel the welcome of God's loving embrace and the assurance of His Word when you attend worship with us.  My hope is that the people of the Charlevoix area will feel blessed that God has called the people of Bethany to this place!"
